ELCERAM NITRIDE 1/8

NITRIDE 1/8 is innovative electronic speed controller for sensored Brushless DC motors, designed especially for demanding conditions in 1/8  onroad cars, but perfect also for 1/8 offroad cars.

Using Advanced Cooling Technology based on Aluminium Nitride Ceramic cooler, NITRIDE 1/8 has excellent thermal conductivity and can be used with powerful motors up to 2800 kV.

NITRIDE 1/8 provides TFT LCD color display allowing very quick and easy adjustment of all parameters,  post-race data evaluation and self-diagnostics without need of any other interface.

NITRIDE 1/8 brings new, innovative features that take 1/8 scale RC racing to a new, higher level.

LCD Display

As you got used to by ELCERAM speedos, NITRIDE 1/8 is endowed with necessary LCD color display. Thanks to this you can set all the parameters and check all data directly at your ESC, without need of any programming card or a mobile application. All you need is inside your ESC.

The use is really easy - by 3 buttons you can quickly set anything you need and one view is enough to check all parameters necessary for race. Simply. Quickly. Precisely.

Dimensions

Although it brings so many great innovative functions, NITRIDE 1/8 is really compact sized.

Its dimensions are suitable for most of types of 1/8 onroad and offroad RC cars.

In addition to that, 70% of weight is located at the bottom of ESC for even better stability of your car!

Advanced Cooling Technology based on ceramic and Thick Film Technology

Advanced cooling technology based on Aluminium Nitride Ceramic Cooler, developed especially for NITRIDE, provides the ESC the excellent thermal conductivity and long-term resistance to high temperatures and loads.

Alminium Nitride Ceramic brings even 15 % better efficiency compared to Aluminium Oxide.

Power MOSFET´s transistors are attached on very thick silver layer with low resistance and high current capability. The silver layer is fired directly on Aluminium Nitride Cooler using temperature above 850 °C for excellent long-term reliability and thermal shock stability.  The power stage - the heaviest component - is all way down.

During production, we use very thick layers of special materials such as silver and copper for very low internal resistance and the latest technologies inspired by advanced power systems designed and manufactured here in ELCERAM.

Quick and easy installation

Installation of NITRIDE 1/8 is quick and easy - you can stick it directly to the chassis of your car using a double-sided tape included in the package. Recommended tape type is 3M GPH-110.

If better cooling effect desired, you can stick NITRIDE 1/8 on any thermal conductive plate (for example aluminium) in the car.

NITRIDE 1/8 can be also installed using two screws M2.5.

The screws M2.5 must always be fully screwed in and tightened enough to ensure heat transfer between ceramic cooler and aluminium ESC housing, even if using the double-sided tape.

Fan Connector

For highly demanding conditions, where better cooling effect is desired, we recommend to use an external fan.

Basic ELCERAM fan 2510 is included in the package and also available as option part ELC025.

NITRIDE 1/8 is already equipped with connector for intelligent fan and pre-drilled mounting holes for quick and easy fan installation.

For motors more than 2300 kV we recommend to use stronger fan, for example with a diameter of 30 or 40 mm.

Always use 2x external capacitors for motors above 2300 kV. Two pairs of external capacitors are included in the package.
